⚠️ Broken Promises and Endless Delays: My Nightmare Experience
I'm writing this to warn others about my awful online shopping experience. I needed a new pair of glasses and was promised a quick turnaround, but that promise was broken again and again. My frustration grew with each passing day and pointless apology email, leading me to a final, infuriating conclusion. After seeing all the one-star reviews that had the exact same experience which I did, I am not surprised. I ordered glasses on May 4th and was assured they would be finished on May 11th. It is now May 26th and I keep getting emails apologizing for the delay. I tried multiple times to call customer service and finally spoke to someone in India who was absolutely no help at all. That fruitless conversation is what pushed me to share my story.
Customer: My order was supposed to be ready on May 11th. It is now May 26th. Can you tell me where my glasses are? I’m beyond tired of the automated apology emails.
CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the delay and your frustration. Can I please have your order number so I can check the status for you?
Customer: It’s #XYZ123. An apology doesn’t help me. I was assured a specific date, and it’s been over two weeks since then. I need a real answer, not another delay notice.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see your order here. It appears there has been an unexpected production delay at our lab. We sincerely apologize for this. I can offer you a 15% discount on your next purchase for the inconvenience.
Customer: A discount on my next purchase? You think I'm going to order from you again after this? That's no help at all. Where. Are. My. Glasses?
CS Rep: I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, I do not have a new specific shipment date at this moment, but I can escalate your case to a manager to monitor it.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
